Amandari Resort overlooks rice-fields and gorges and is adjacent to Kedewantan village and only ten minutes drive to the cultural and artistic town of Ubud.
River-stone walkways link the 30 thatched-roof suites (11 with private pools).
Crafted largely of teak wood, the Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and
dinner, specializing in Indonesian and Western dishes. The casual,
two-story restaurant overlooks the swimming pool and the green valley
beyond.
A selection of books, newspapers, CDs, DVDs and games is available in the Library, along with Internet access. A bale just outside provides a relaxing garden setting for reading over coffee, tea or a cocktail.
The Amandari Spa offers a wide range of beauty and wellness treatments from facials and massage services to manicures and scrubs, all employing soothing natural ingredients.?
Private yoga classes are available in an outdoor setting with Amandari's own yoga teacher.
The gym is fitted with cardiovascular equipment and looks out onto the lotus pond surrounding the spa facility.
Amandari's 32-metre, green-tiled swimming pool lies close to the lip of the gorge and overlooks the rice terraces below. Every evening, gamelan players perform from the music pavilion behind the pool.
A tennis court is floodlit for night play. Balls, rackets and tennis shoes are available and playing partners can also be arranged.
Wireless broadband connections are available in all resort accommodations and public areas.
The suites are situated on opposite sides of the lobby and public areas. Twenty one suites on the "rice terrace" side and nine suites on the river gorge side offering a total of nine Village Suites (located next to the village).
All suites are individually walled off to offer privacy and are designed with an air of understated elegance. The suites are either single-story suites with a king bed and high ceilings or a double-story suite with a queen bed upstairs and two large lounging beds downstairs.
All suites have large sliding glass doors which when fully opened offer a unique open-air atmosphere to the suite. The bathrooms, which are constructed out of teak wood and Javanese marble, feature an outdoor oversize sunken bathtub, double wash-basin vanities and shower.
